Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that flames were showing. Engine 22's crew on arrival reported nothing showing. Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:31 AM Friday of a vehicle burglary at a parking lot at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 3700 North Wilke Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized and shattered the rear passengers side window of the victim's gray Toyota Sienna while it had been parked in the north side of the lot overnight. Nothing was reported taken from the vehicle. The cost to repair the damage was unknown at the time of the police report. Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:26 AM Friday of a vehicle burglary at Red Roof Inn, 22 West Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized the victim's blue 2010 Chrysler Sebring while it was parked in the lot. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle. The offender(s) removed 4 pairs of women's shoes, a bag containing various hair styling equipment, newly purchased clothes, and a pink purse that contained a pair of gold studded earrings. The stolen items were valued over $600.00. The crime is reported to have occurred  between Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 9:00 PM and Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:25 AM.
