Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:31 PM Saturday of a theft at a transaction meeting place at Dunkin' Donuts, 1010 East Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender/buyer met with a victim/seller to buy a certified pre-owned Rolex Datejust 36mm watch, valued at $3,800. The victim/seller counted the money for the watch. The money was contained in an envelope, but the offender/buyer asked for the envelope back so he could seal it for the seller/victim. The offender "sealed" the envelope, returned the envelope to the seller/victim and asked the seller/victim to keep the envelope sealed until the offender/buyer could verify the authenticity of the watch.
