Investigation of Reported Armed Robbery at BP Gas Station at Dundee Rd and Kennicott Ave in Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 9:50 PM Tuesday to an armed robbery at the BP gas station, 1006 West Dundee Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police are investigating the report of an armed robbery at the gas station, but initially did not release any details. Crime scene tape was placed around the pumps to block entrance into the gas station but the investigation was over by midnight. No known injuries were reported. The exact time the crime was reported was not initially available. The robber is not known to be related to an attempted robbery at Pedro's Pizza at Rand Road and Route 53 Frontage Road in Palatine Township about 11:30 p.m. The gas station closes at 10:00 p.m. every night. The response time to the robbery is estimated.
