Police and firefighter/paramedics responded to widespread tornado damage in Naplate and Ottawa, Illinois. Ottawa Police reported one person was killed by the storm in the block of 700 State Street on the south side of Ottawa. At least one other person was seriously injured. Major damage was reported at Center Street and 18th Avenue in Naplate, just east of the Illinois River, which is also just east of the location where the fatality was reported on State Street in Ottawa. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a crash with injuries. At least two vehicles received heavy damage with one vehicle on Quentin Road with heavy front-end damage, and one vehicle off the road in a yard with heavy damage.
