Police received a report that seven offenders were involved in a home invasion at a residence near Hintz Road and Wolf Road -- with the specific neighborhood not initially released by police.

Offenders were described as five male/black suspects and two female/black suspects.

One of the male/black suspects was described as having a large build with dreadlocks and a neck tattoo and

All offenders were reported armed with handguns.

The offenders fled in an aqua blue 2004 Honda Accord with no front license plate. There was metal hanging from the rear driver's side of the vehicle near the rear tire.


The crime is reported to have occurred 4:40 p.m.

Suspect #1 was described as a male/black wearing black pants, ablack jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes

Suspect #2 was described as a male/black wearing a camouflage mask, a black jacket, black pants and white shoes and displaying a black handgun.

The suspects fled in a white Chrysler 300. Initially the direction of travel was not reported.

Group of Burglars Commit Smash and Grab Burglary at Best Buy on Palatine Rd Near Rand Rd, Arlington Heights on Christmas Eve

Arlington Heights police responded to an activated burglar alarm about 3:40 AM Thursday of a commercial burglary at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Arlington Heights arrived at the store to find that unknown offenders forced entry into front glass doors. Glass panels of an exterior door and an interior lobby door were shattered.

Security video captured images of multiple offenders wearing hoodies with their identities hidden entering the store, and grabbing products within a short time period. The offenders focused on Apple products, including iPhones and iPads.

The crime is reported to have occurred at 3:40 a.m. overnight Wednesday to Thursday (Christmas Eve) on December 24, 2020 with a duration of less than five minutes.

Arlington Heights police received a report about 12:01 AM Wednesday of a residential burglary in the block of 1800 North Patton Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully entered the victim's garage through unknown means. There were no signs of forced entry into the garage.

Prior to the burglary, the victim had posted publicly on Facebook about receiving new tools as a gift and about going out of town for the holidays. Taken from the garage was the new tools valued at approximately $160.
