Illinois State police and Palatine firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:19 PM Wednesday to a report of a rollover crash with injuries near 42.117022, -88.003742 (Route 53 and Palatine Road Palatine, Il). Police and firefighter/paramedics initially received a report that several vehicles were involved, but only two vehicles were involved -- a Nissan Maxima and a Ford Expedition. The Ford Expedition rolled over, but came to rest upright. Firefighter/paramedics reported no entrapment by 9:27 p.m. The crash was located over the Anderson Drive bridge. Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:11 AM Wednesday to a report of an automatic fire alarm at Courtyard Chicago Arlington Heights/South, 100 West Algonquin Road Arlington Heights, Il. Firefighters on arrival reported smoke showing from the laundry room. Staff reported they extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher, but Engine 3's crew reported that a lot of smoke persists. A remaining small fire was extinguished by firefighters and the sprinkler system. Firefighters checked for extension of fire nearby on the first floor, and Engine 2's crew checked for extension and safety of hotel guests on the second floor. Police Escort for Great Lakes Navy Recruits to Christian Liberty Academy

Police escort for the Great Lakes Navy Recruits arrived at Christian Liberty Academy, 502 West Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights about 9:30 a.m. Christmas Day, Tuesday. The annual event is organized by Bob and Linda Stack, parents of Marine Lance Cpl. James Stack, who was killed in Afghanistan in November 2010, leaving behind his 19-year-old widow, Katie, and a 1-year-old daughter. The recruits, who have been isolated from television and the Internet since early November, are set to graduate in January 2019. The recruits are treated to an awesome lunch and dinner and hosted with amenities such as Internet, video games and use of the gym. Townhouse Fire on Douglas Ave Near Maude Ct, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:24 PM Monday to a report of smoke coming from a condominium townhouse in the block of 42.106442, -87.975626 (1600 North Douglas Court Arlington Heights, IL). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that smoke was coming from a neighbor's unit. Upon arrival firefighters immediately pulled a line into the front door of a 2-story townhouse. The fire department response was updated to a working fire response by 7:30 p.m. Buffalo Grove Tower 25 and a Prospect Heights Engine 9 responded to the scene to assist Arlington Heights firefighters. Homicide Investigation on Brockway St Near Richmond St, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:51 AM Sunday to a report of a person murdered in the block of 300 North Brockway Street Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person called 9-1-1 to report that someone was murdered at the scene, and that the caller was no longer at the scene. Police responded to the scene to investigate the report of a murder, and within minutes of their arrival reported shots fired -- apparently by the police. At least one man was dead outside in front of the apartment building at the scene. Another person may have been killed inside the apartment building and may be a stabbing victim, but there was no initial confirmation of any information from police. There is no confirmation that there are two killed at the scene. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that at least one person was trapped in a vehicle involved in a crash. Two firefighters happened to be out in front of the fire station, which is about 200 yards east of the crash scene, when the crash occurred. The vehicle was westbound on Sigwalt Street and hit the curb, rolled over, cartwheeled and hit the wall near the lobby of the police station. The vehicle punched a hole in the the stone wall of the lobby. Mud was sprayed up onto the wall of the vehicle, and the driver was trapped, while papers from inside the vehicle flew onto the roof and onto the sidewalk at the crash scene. The vehicle's key fob had been left inside the vehicle prior to the auto theft. The crime is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 between 12:05 AM and 5:35 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 5:30 (hours: minutes). Two residential burglaries were also reported in about the same time frame.
