Suspicious Person Checked Locked Door with Residents Home on Carlyle Place, Stonegate Neighborhood

A suspicious person checked a rear, side door at a house in Stonegate neighborhood about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday November 29, 2016. The offender tested a locked door with a firm attempt to twist the outdoor door lever at a house on Carlyle Place north of Wilshire Lane. There was no description of the suspicious person available. Several thefts occur in residences in Arlington Heights with no signs of forcible entry. An offender only needs to get lucky that a resident forgot to lock a door, and make quick entry into a room with an outer door, find a valuable, such as an Apple iPad, and flee with the valuable. Car Crash Into Zip Fitness Center on West Rand Rd Arlington Heights -- No Injuries

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:04 AM Wednesday to a report of a car vs building crash with unknown injuries at Zip Fitness, 50 West Rand Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car crashed into a fitness center building. A caller reported an elderly couple were inside the vehicle, but that they weren't sure whether they were trapped or injured. Police were first on the scene and reported no entrapment. Engine 4's crew on arrival confirmed a car into the building by 11:08 a.m. Paramedics were immediately checking on a male senior and female senior that were inside the vehicle, and no injuries were reported inside the fitness center. Car Vs Freight Locomotive Crash on Up Northwest Line Near Main St and Prospect Ave, Mount Prospect

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:12 PM Tuesday to a report of car vs train crash with injuries at Main Street and Prospect Avenue Mount Prospect, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find that a westbound train consisting of two UP freight locomotives and a caboose hit a maroon ~1990 Honda Accord. The driver, a male, age 82, was extricated with a quick extrication. He was transported to Northwest Community Hospital for observation, apparently with no injuries. No serious injuries were detected at the scene. The driver was apparently southbound on Main Street and hit the train gate that was coming down for the approaching freight locomotives. The gate scraped the roof of the car, and the Honda Accord almost made it across the tracks, but was struck in the rear trunk area by front locomotive. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a fire in the high-rise building the Chicago Metra train station. The first Chicago fire crew on arrival reported nothing showing from the 43-story commercial high-rise, fire-resistive. BC3 reports smoke inside and requests a Still and Box and EMS Plan 1 at the scene. Fire command reported a small fire in a newsstand extinguished by the sprinkler system. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorcycle crash with injuries occurred on eastbound I-90 between Barrington Road and Roselle Road. A caller reported the crash motorcycle was in the ditch off the right shoulder. The caller also reported the motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle, but is up and walking. Arlington Heights Police Department is seeking help from the public seeking several Criminal Damage to Vehicle Cases in multiple locations in Arlington Heights. The damage is apparently being caused by shots of BB pellets. The first fire crew was out investigating by 8:57 AM. Battalion 1 reported smoke showing from the roof in a single-story section on the east side of the school building.
