Ruse Burglary Reported at House on East Waverly Pl Near Windsor Dr, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:06 PM Monday of a residential burglary in the block of 1200 East Waverly Place Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully entered the victim's residence after the victim was distracted by an accomplice.

While the victim was outside in the backyard of the property with an offender posing as a lawn maintenance specialist, another offender or multiple offenders entered through the front door of the residence and ransacked the master bedroom.

The accomplice is described as a male, Hispanic in his 40s with short hair, wearing dark clothing and speaking with an accent.

The offenders were last seen leaving the area in a newer model black Chevrolet Equinox with Illinois dealer license plates. Taken from the bedroom were several items of jewelry.

The total value of the stolen items is pending further investigation of the crime, which is being classified as a ruse burglary.

Home Invasion on Cedar St Near Touhy Ave, Des Plaines

Des Plaines police responded about 3:00 PM Friday to a home invasion on Cedar St just north of the intersection of Cedar Street and Touhy Avenue Des Plaines, IL. Police received a report that two unknown offenders fled in a tan Chevy sedan following a home invasion in a single-family residential neighborhood. Residential Burglars Take $3400 Cash During Garage Sale on Brittany Dr Near Kennicott Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:46 PM Saturday of a residential burglary in the block of 1000 West Brittany Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that six unknown offenders entered the victim's residence, with the victim's permission, following a garage sale at the residence to move a piece of furniture they had purchased.

While inside the residence and unsupervised, the offenders took a duffle bag containing cash proceeds from the garage sale. The duffle bag contained approximately $3,400 cash.


The first offender is described as a female, Hispanic, approximately 5'03" and 140 LBS with dark hair.

The second offender is described as a female, Hispanic, approximately 5'04" and 140 LBS with long, curly, dark hair.

The third offender is described as a teenaged female, Hispanic, with long, curly, dark hair.

The fourth offender is described as a male, Hispanic, slightly balding with a missing front tooth.

The fifth offender is described as a male, Hispanic, approximately 5'08" and approximately 55 years-old.

The sixth offender is described as a male, Hispanic, approximately 5'05" and approximately 180 LBS.

The offenders were last seen leaving southbound from the area in a red 2003 Oldsmobile with an Illinois License plate. A second unidentified vehicle was also associated with the offenders.

Extensive Criminal Damage to Vehicle Parked at Lexus of Arlington on Dundee Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:49 PM Wednesday of criminal damage to vehicle at Lexus of Arlington, 1460 W Dundee Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully damaged all exterior windows, hood, trunk, and a majority of the interior of the victim's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the business. The damage to the vehicle was extensive. Initial investigation does not indicate anything was taken from the vehicle. The cost to repair the damage was not available at the time of the police report.

Arlington Heights police received a report about 11:20 PM Tuesday of a commercial burglary at Dunkin' Donuts 4204 North Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown male offender burglarized the far north Dunkin' Donuts in Arlington Heights.

Police received a report that a security camera captured an image of an unknown male offender, who unlawfully and forcefully entered the business while the business was closed. The glass of the front door was also discovered shattered.

The male offender description was gathered via security camera imaging.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a black quarter zip hooded sweatshirt, dark blue pants, gloves, a ski mask, while carrying a red drawstring backpack. Taken from the business was approximately $2200 cash.

Robbery at 7-Eleven at Hintz Rd and Buffalo Grove Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 3:40 AM Saturday to an armed robbery at 1418 East Hintz Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown male offender entered the store and demanded money from the store clerk. The offender implied he possessed a weapon, but no weapon was displayed. Theft of Four Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max Devices at Apple Deer Park at Deer Park Town Center

The Lake County Sheriff's Office received a report about 5:23 PM Friday of a felony theft at the Apple Store Deer Park, 20530 North Rand Road Deer Park, IL. Police received a report that unknown offenders took four Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max smartphones.

Two of the suspects fled in a black vehicle with tinted windows -- possibly a Buick 4-door. One suspect fled on foot.

Offender #1 was described as a male/black, wearing a gray and black camouflage hoodie, blue jeans and black and white shoes.

Offender #2 was described as a female/black wearing pink jacket, black jeans or leggings and black shoes.

Offender #3 was described as a male/black wearing a black hoodie with a white logo, white belt, black jeans and black shoes.

Offender #3 fled on foot.

The crime is reported to have occurred at 5:23 p.m.

Burglar Alarm Interrupts 3:30AM Burglary at Best Buy on Palatine Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:35 AM Wednesday of a commercial burglary at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully made entry to Best Buy using ceiling access from an adjacent business to scale the building.

The offender or offenders made entry into the neighboring business, cut into the ceiling of the business, and used ceiling access to make entry into the Best Buy.

A commercial burglary alarm activated and was automatically forwarded to Northwest Central Dispatch System, and Arlington Heights police responded to the scene. The offender or offenders ran on foot from the scene and were not located by police officers searching the area.
